Our bar, restaurant and garden are currently open Wednesday to Sunday (closed Monday and Tuesday) and our hotel rooms can be booked seven days a week.
Tables for up to six people can be booked online. Please call to arrange a gathering for two families or larger groups.
Each of the 12 ensuite bedrooms is named after a different castle and carefully designed for a special stay. An experienced Events Team is also available to offer advice and help plan wedding receptions, celebrations and business meetings.
EAT & DRINK
Enjoy a coffee as soon as we open or start the day with a cooked breakfast. Breakfast served to non-hotel guests 7.30am – 9.30am Wednesday and Thursday and 8.30am – 10.30am Friday to Sunday.
Main dishes are served from noon Wednesday to Sunday and last food orders taken at 8pm (extending to 9pm from Wednesday 16th June) . Tables can be booked online for up to six people. Please contact us to arrange larger gatherings.
The designs for each of the 12 ensuite bedrooms are all different and inspired by castles. Choose from three different types: Premium (gorgeous styling with bath and shower), Modern (cute design twists with shower room) and Classic (elegant styling with shower room).
Room rates include breakfast and can be booked for any day of the week. Complimentary evening transport to and from The Square & Compass will be provided on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Where you will find us...
Find us in the lovely Yorkshire village of Spofforth, six miles southeast of Harrogate. Our car park is free for guests to use but can become full during popular sessions.
Spofforth Castle is very close to our inn. It is free to enter and the ruins are lovely to walk around. The centre of Harrogate is a very short drive or bus ride away.
